35 Years of Geomatics Experience

JFM Geomatics Ltd. has been involved with several Geomatics companies in the natural resources and transportation sectors that have focused on real-time navigation and event monitoring of people, places and things. The products use a combination of Wi-Fi, radio, cellular and satellite communication systems integrated with GNSS spatial solutions and other on-board sensors.

Activities include the design, development, production and marketing of land, marine and airborne navigation, tracking and surveying products.

JFM Geomatics was formed in 1991 by Jim McLellan

Jim is a Geomatics Engineer (B. Sc. UNB 1978, M. Eng. U of C 1992, and ALS 1989) who has 35 years of Geomatics experience that includes design, development, production and marketing of land, marine and airborne navigation, tracking and surveying products.

Jonathan McLellan is a Computer Engineering Technologist from SAIT who looks after system on-boarding, system assembly and product servicing.

Dave Huff is a Geomatics Engineer (University of Calgary 1987) who has over 30 years experience in software design and development. His experience includes creating IOT communications systems, real-time navigation and data collection systems, backend development for data collection and display in both web and Windows applications. Dave has worked in a wide variety of fields including IOT, machine control, helicopter navigation, surveying, seismic surveying.

Eleanor McLellan has been the company Admin Assistant who oversees shipping and receiving and accounting.
